Prescription Renewals
Please do not wait until you are almost out of medications before you call your pharmacy.
Order your medications through your Pharmacy at least one week before you need them!

How do I renew my medication?
If you need a renewal on your prescription you may not need to see your doctor. Simply call your pharmacy and they will send us a request to renew your medication.

How long does this take?
Prescriptions are usually ready to be picked up at the pharmacy in about 3 business days.

What else do I need to know?
Your pharmacist will assess your particular situation and will ensure that:
-
Your medication is for a chronic condition
-
You are stable on the medication and it is working the way it should for your condition
-
The medication is not a narcotic or controlled drug.

Once we receive the request from your pharmacy, your doctor will check to ensure that this medication is appropriate for you and either send the completed renewal back to the pharmacy or request a follow-up appointment before renewing your prescription, in which case you will be contacted to set up an appointment.
If you run out of medication before we are able to fulfill the request, please discuss with your pharmacist an emergency renewal in the interim.

For your safety, we do not routinely call-in prescriptions to treat new or acute illnesses over the phone. We ask you to come to the office so we can properly evaluate you and treat you in a safe and effective manner.
